Senior Picnic-Tickets on sale now!

College Park High School Senior Picnic will be held at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom on September 17th, 2015 from 9:00am –2:36pm 

Tickets will be on sale for $60 W/ASB-$65 W/O ASB from September 1st-September 10th (lunchtime) on the school web store.

A permission slip is required and is available below or on the Treasurer's page. 

No tickets will be sold after September 10th so please plan accordingly.

Night School for Seniors

Loma Vista will begin accepting night school applications on Wednesday, September 8th and Thursday, September 9th from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.  US History, World History, English, and Algebra will be offered for credit recovery only. 

Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The first day of class begins on Tuesday, September 15th. 

Please see your administrator or a counselor for an application, beginning this week.  Space is on limited basis so please apply on time.

School Site Council - Two Open Seats!

The College Park School Site Council (CPSSC) is seeking parents of students of College Park to fill two (2) open positions on the CPSSC. This is a nomination and election process for 2 year terms to the CPSSC. The term is from September 2015 to June 2017.

For nomination, each applicant is asked to provide a brief statement stating his or her interest in serving on the CPSSC. Statements of interest are due by Wednesday, September 9, 2015, by 2:30 p.m., via email to Mr. Gengler at genglerp@mdusd.org

Information about the 2015-2016 Schedule

This school year, College Park is excited to launch a new hybrid block schedule with Response to Intervention (RTI). This schedule was carefully created to support each of our students, maximizing learning opportunities and empowering them to succeed.

There will be questions about this new schedule.  The attached letter is hoped to answer most of them by anticipating the most frequently asked questions.  Please take a moment to read the letter to learn more about the hybrid block schedule, RTI, and the time frame for implementation.

Note that the rotating portion for implementation is temporary for this year only while we schedule RTI. Students will be with their permanent RTI teacher by October 14 and we appreciate everyone's patience. Next school year, RTI period assignments will take place with course selections. 

We look forward to an amazing year at CP! Go Falcons!

For the past year, MDUSD has been working to create a user friendly website for all of its constituents.  The recently added "Parent Portal" is a robust page that offers tons of information for parents.  Please check out the Parent Portal on the district website and bookmark it for future reference.  

Or, visit our College Park website Resources tab and click on the newly added MDUSD link. You will be directed to the MDUSD home page and can navigate from there.

Homelink - new parent portal announcement

We are pleased to announce that a newer, enhanced version of HomeLink Parent Portal is here. Some of the newer features include better support for mobile devices, language translation options, as well as visuals of student progress for classes using the grade books (see the video). The newer version of HomeLink Parent Portal is available for all MDUSD students and legal guardians, and we know you are going to love it.



1. When is this switch happening and how will I find out?

MDUSD will be switching over to the HomeLink Parent Portal for the 2015-16 school year. The link on our Parent Portal Website will have the newer link.


2. Will my current username and password work for the new Parent Portal?

Yes, users should be able to use their existing username and password.  However, the login screen will look different because you will be logging in through a new website.


Note: If you already have an account from last year, it will still be active, even if your student has changed schools.


3. What if I don’t know my username or password?

Usernames are generally the email address that was used to sign up for an account. If the password has been forgotten, there is a forgot password link on the Parent Portal login screen, where users can request that a password be reset.


4. How do I get a login?

Please check with your school site for the parent verification code, that is required for signup. Most schools distribute these letters through walk-throughs and/or back to school nights.


5. Who should have a login?

HomeLink Portal accounts are available to students and legal guardians at all school sites. There are a variety of reasons to have these accounts, and some of the benefits include the ability to check student grades (Middle  & High Schools only), test scores, attendance, as well as other contact and registration features. Some schools and teachers even use HomeLink Parent Portal to send out alerts and newsletters.

Summer Suggested Work for AP & Honors classes (or enrichment)

Other AP classes offered at CP do not have summer suggested work.

IMPORTANT: Please note that if students did not receive official word (email to parents, dialer to the home phone number, or a hard copy mailed to those on the wait list) that they are enrolled into their choice classes, completing the summer work is for pure enrichment. By completing summer suggested work, there is no guarantee that the student will be registered for the actual class. Conflicts arise with scheduling.

If the student has questions to please contact an administrator during the first week in August.
