What You Need to Know About the 2017–18 FAFSA

There are substantial changes to the Financial Aid process for the Class of 2017. Click on this link to read about the how the changes benefit you, plus new application deadlines:  2017-18FAFSAupdates.

Cal Grants

College Park will electronically submit the Cal Grant GPAs for the entire senior class. This means that for most seniors all that will be necessary to be considered for Cal Grant Eligibilty is to submit the FAFSA form. It is no longer necessary to mail in a paper GPA verification form UNLESS the student falls into one of two categories:
1. The name on the transcript is even slightly different from the name on the Social Security card
2. the student is an undocumented student.
Students who fall into Category 1 should submit a paper GPA verification form, available from the Career Center, using their Social Security name.
Students in Category 2 should not file the FAFSA form and should instead see Mrs. Welsh about the California Dream Act process.
