American Association of University Women - a $1,000 scholarship for women graduating from College Park or Alhambra High Schools.  Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of scholastic achievement, financial need and educational goals.  Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Applications are available from the Counselor's office or may be downloaded from the Pleasant Hill – Martinez AAUW Website: on the Community Action Page.  If you have any questions, contact Marie Cattalini at (925) 286-8246 or Carol Walsh at (925) 229-3234.  Deadline: April 10, 2017.



Mary Lee Memorial Scholarship - this $2,000 was implemented in April 2011 to remember Mary Lee, College Park High School Registrar.  Mrs. Lee passed away on March 22nd, 2011.  She worked in the Mount Diablo Unified School District for 15 years.  Her kindness and twinkling smile are legendary, and she will be remembered for her enthusiastic willingness to help anyone in need. Steve Nixon Memorial Scholarship -  a $500 scholarship to help fund a student’s higher education in Steve Nixon’s memory.  Steve Nixon was a teacher and then a Vice Principal at College Park for over 20 years. Steve embodied fairness, personal improvement and higher education. Steve worked to make good things happen for the students and staff of College Park. He wanted to get to know people so that he could work with their strengths. Steve would never give up on any student, and would help them become the best possible individual. He truly believed in his students and their successes and made a difference in so many students’ lives.


To be considered, please write a short essay on one or more of the following:

•             How have you shown resiliency and perseverance in your life?

•             What have you done to improve College Park?

•             How have you overcome obstacles?

•             Why is higher education important to you?

Ryder-Weis Family Scholarship -  three $1,000 Scholarships available for female scholar athletes who have participated in community service.  For complete details and application, click here.  Deadline:  April 142017 – no later than 3:00 p.m.



Tuite Law DUI Accident Scholarship - $750 scholarship open nationwide to those who will be attending college fall semester of 2017. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Law, but anyone meeting the requirements & can demonstrate an interested in pursuing a career in law will be considered. Applicant must have been affected by a DUI accident or know someone who has been.  Click here for details and application.  Deadline: May 31, 2017.



K. Hunter Goff Bankruptcy/Consumer Rights Scholarship - $500 scholarship.  Student must be interested in pursuing a law-related degree and must be attending college by Fall 2017 and have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Only online applications will be accepted.
