Dear College Park Community,

September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about mental health struggles and the importance of supporting one another. This month, we aim to foster open conversations, break down stigma, and provide the resources needed to help those who may be struggling.

At College Park High School, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students. Our dedicated counselors and the Wellness Center staff are here to address any mental health needs, provide guidance, and offer confidential support.

How You Can Help

Educate yourself and others about suicide prevention: Learn the warning signs for suicide, the action steps on how to support someone considering suicide, and better understand the symptoms and when to seek help. Finally, familiarize yourself with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Resources available to our students, staff, and families:

JED - a mental health resource center for our nation's teens and young adults

The Trevor Project - leading suicide and crisis intervention non-profit for LGBTQ+ young adults
