The Special Admissions Recommendation Form is now available for Summer 2026 registration.  Concurrent enrollment registration opens on Thursday, May 14 for high school students.

As a concurrent high school student, you will need to submit your Special Admissions Recommendation Form (also known as the Special Admit Form) via InSite

Here's what you'll need:

  • The email address and name of your school contact (if you do not know, please reach out to your counselor or principal for an email address of the person who can sign your form.
  • Your parent/guardian name and email.
  • Browse the Course Catalog for the name of the course/s you would like to register for.

The form must be: 

  • Submitted each term
  • Filled out by the high school principal or designee and list the courses the student wishes to take
  • Signed by the student, parent, and high school principal or designee
  • Submitted online to Admissions and Records

By submitting the form, you will be given permission to register for the course online provided all signatures are received, the course is open, and you meet any prerequisites.  After submitting your form, follow the steps below to get ready to register for your classes!

Signed forms with no courses listed will not be accepted. You can only enroll in the course(s) listed on the form.

DVC is hosting FREE Zoom Enrollment Workshops this April to help students navigate the enrollment process from start to finish — all from the comfort of home!

  • Wednesday, April 8, 2026 | 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM
  • Wednesday, April 22, 2026 | 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM

 

During these workshops, students will receive step-by-step guidance to:

βœ” Apply to DVC

βœ”Complete the online orientation

βœ”Complete English and math placements

βœ”Register for COUNS-095NC/96 – Educational Planning

 

To attend, students should have the following ready:

  • A photo ID (school ID or driver's license)
  • Social Security Number or Visa information, if they have one. *Students without an SSN or visa number are still eligible to attend DVC    
  • Access to their unofficial high school transcripts
  • Their DVC InSite login information, if they have it

Students can register by visiting www.dvc.edu/admissions/welcome-connect-services, clicking on "Upcoming Workshops,” or scanning the QR code in the attached flyer. Also, feel free to share the flyer with your students!
