John Muir Health, Concord Medical Center is excited to announce an eight-week summer volunteer program for high school students, running from June 9 to August 1, 2025.
Who Can Apply
- Rising sophomores-seniors who attend a high school in Contra Costa County are invited to apply.
Volunteer Positions
- There are 20 volunteer positions available.
- Up to 60 applications will be accepted for consideration.
Application Details
- Applicants must submit their attendance records from freshman year through their current year by April 14th.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Program Requirements
- Students must commit to one volunteer shift per week throughout the eight-week program.
- Interested Applicants must attend an in-person Information session on May 6, from 5:30-6:30pm to be considered for the program. It is highly recommended that a parent, guardian, or teacher also attend.
- Students that are selected for the Summer Program must attend a required Orientation session on May 28 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Concord Medical Center. No other dates will be offered. If you cannot attend both sessions, your application will not be considered.
Program Requirements
- Students who successfully complete the summer program will be eligible to volunteer during the school year.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid and California Dream Act Application
The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) has extended the financial aid priority deadline to April 2, 2025. The CSU encourages students to complete and submit their application as soon as possible.
