College Park Students and Families,

We survived the first week back! I was pleasantly surprised that there were very few hiccups and classes started back with ease. We have come a long way since August. Although our students are still in distance learning, I am sure that our students "missed " school during the break and are happy to be back with their teachers and classmates. I continue to be extremely proud of the work put in by our students. While his educational environment is not easy, our students continue to show determination to access their education. Keep it up CP!

This past Wednesday was a very difficult day for our country. Watching the course of events unfold live in Washington, DC was traumatic for millions of American citizens. Personally, I was in disbelief as I observed the siege of the United States Capitol, while congress was in session validating the electoral college results from the 2020 presidential election.

I am thankful for many of our teachers who held space for students to process through the events of the week over the past two days. Thank you teachers for your efforts. I hope that families were able to process through these events together as well.

Mr. Honey
